You can't really stop pub talk. The prince Arthur is their real hope anyway. You can't stop scandal either. When the king's adopted daughter Morgana found out she was his real daughter, it wasn't pretty. Half the castle burned down and the king seemed to suffer a mental break overnight, forcing Arthur to step up. It's not really a role he feels comfortable with yet, but he's getting there, with the help of his PA Merlin and the palace maid, Guinevere.

He attended the best schools, and has had a few, very public relationships with women like Sophia and Vivian, but those haven't gone anywhere serious. He's just looking for someone more normal.
